Dr. Maricich graduated from the University of Notre Dame with degrees in science and philosophy. Dr. Maricich completed his medical doctorate at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Maricich is continuing his training at Harvard Business School. During medical school Dr. Maricich was elected to serve as his medical school’s class representative American Medical Association and served as the student trustee member of the Washington State Medical Association (WSMA) Board of Trustees. He has been involved in breast cancer research for several years, performed laboratory research in immunology for the Corixa Corporation, and does work on the quality of care in medicine.
During his second year of medical school, Dr. Maricich founded the Musae Research and Service Institute (www.musae-institute.org), a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Currently serving as the Institute’s Executive Director and President, Dr. Maricich oversees the organizations Pathos Project initiative (www.pathosproject.org), all operations, including fundraising. He is personally involved in its research, both writing publications and presenting at conferences. Dr. Maricich’s personal interests include traveling, bioethics, philosophy, and classical music.
